1.What are some of the aspects of narrative writing and did you like using them?
In my opinion, the writing is very descriptive and personal. Since it is your story, you can describe more things than when you look in third person view. Because you get to describe feelings and use adjectives to give an accurate explanation about one thing. I like how narrative writing is more personal then other writings, because you get to describe how you felt and you can make many descriptions out of that.
2.How did you determine what details were relevant and necessary to support your ideas?
I think I determined the relevance of the detail by looking how much it was related to the main idea and how it rightly it describes the moment. The details should be descriptive enough to bring the reader back into the moment and help the understanding your situation, but short enough so it does not drag the story. I think I did a bad job on that and used too much description in the writing.
3.How did you create a unique piece of writing?
Since it is my story, and not someone elses. It is already unique. I think that the experience of playing in front of many people is not an experience that you get to have in your ordinary life. It can give the readers how it felt for the freshman who just had their first game of volleyball. Every writing that people write is unique because nobody is not going to have the same descriptions as what you did unless they plagiarized your work.
4.How did you craft your writing to meet the audience expectations? What is easy or hard?
I had many ideas in my mind while I was writing about this topic. However, I had too many ideas and I didn't know what ideas I should use. It gave me a really tough time because I had to find ideas that actually help readers to understand my situation. For example, you have a ball. You can describe many things about the ball such as its shape, color, weight, but you have to find something unique to describe the ball more clearly. It doesn't really help if you write something everyone knows.
5.How did your personal experience and faith shape the way you told this story?
Because it is a recent memory, and I remembered many things about the moment. Since it's not a journal where I record every single thing I remembered, I had to cut many things out of the story. It was hard for to me to choose what to take out and make the story flow.
6.What would your life be like without the experience?
This experience is really important to me. Because it was my first time doing a sport in front of people, or representing our school for KAIAC. Without this memory I wouldn't have debuted in KAIAC, since it's a first game. My life would be really plain without sports.
